Gobind Vallabh Pant Museum
Govind Ballabh Pant Museum is located at the Mall Road in Almora city. Its name is a gesture of salutation to Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant?s contribution as a freedom fighter and towards the development of Uttarakhand after getting freedom.This museum has a good collection of ancient antique items related to Katyuri and Chand emperors which ruled Uttarakhand for quite a long time.There is a good collection of Kumauni ancient style painting called Aspen in the museum.These painting are very good source of information for research on the culture and history of Uttarakhand as anyone can have very close look at them.This museum is located in the heart of the city and connected through a motor road.There is no provision of an entry fee for visitors in this museum and it is nice place to have a glance at the rich heritage of Uttarakhand.
