Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary

The Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary is situated about 135 km from Ranchi in Hazaribagh. This wildlife sanctuary is set in an ecosystem very similar to Betla National Park of Palamu. The Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary covers an area of 186 square km and situated at an altitude of 615 meters in the low hilly terrain. This sanctuary is the part of the Chotanagpur plateau and densely forested with grass meadows, undulating countryside, steep hills, dense tropical forests and deepwaterways. The sanctuary is surrounded by tribal habitation.
